Microseasons Calendar
The traditional Japanese microseasons calendar represents an attentive and nature-focused way of living. It consists of 24 periods called sekki, and 72 microseasons called kō, which each has a poetic name describing a characteristic of that time of year, such as “first peach blossoms,” and “frogs start singing." I created a digital interpretation of this calendar that encapsulates its meditative qualities.
